About

Whatever You’re doing inside of me,
It feels like chaos, but I believe
You’re up to something bigger than me
Larger than life, something heavenly.  Sanctus Real

These are the lyrics of a song that I heard during a very difficult time in my life.  At the time, I was at a crossroads in my faith, and I found myself questioning a lot of what I believe.  It is a song that is still tough to listen to even now a few years later.  However, it has come to represent hope for the precious things to come, peace for a painful past, and faith in my sovereign Heavenly Father.  I thought it would only be fitting to name my blog with these heartening words.

{Who am I?}  I am a daughter, sister, and auntie.  I am most proud to be the wife of my best friend, Bradley.  We are the parents to one precious baby in heaven and a daughter, Anderson, through the blessing of adoption.

I am Southern to the core.  Which of course means, I’m not afraid to say y’all, I’ll wear pearls with cowboy boots, and I might just call you ma’am or say Bless Your Heart.

I’ve been known to be resourceful, innovative, or creative (take your pick on which word sounds the best).  My master trade is making jewelry, but I love to play with spray paint, a hot glue gun, or anything that requires an electric sander.  I actually have a website where I sell my jewelry.  And once I find a solution for world peace, I promise I will be better about updating it.

I can’t really cook, but I love to eat.  I have a weakness for sweets, especially when you combine chocolate & mint.  I am an ugly crier, and I occasionally snort when I laugh.  I have OCD tendencies and get too excited at any opportunity to organize (but NOT clean-there is a big difference).

I strive to give God all of the glory in everything that I do.  I sometimes fail miserably with this, but I am only human.  And I think God’s okay with that.  There is nothing that I can do to make Him love me less.  I want to spend my life loving Him back.  This is my little ordinary life, and I love it.

Thanks for being a part of our journey!
