This actually happened back in December, but it was such a big step in our adoption process that I really wanted to document this extraordinary day. Those envelopes hold all the information that you would ever want or need to know about the Brocks. Our medical history, details about our childhoods, my shoe size, how Brad prefers his eggs, and how much money I spent at Target last year. Well, maybe not all of those things, but you get the idea. It required two large envelopes that we taped together, and cost about $10 to mail because it was so heavy.
Looking back, it is a little anti-climatic now because we realized that we forgot a few papers, like Brad’s drug test results, and they needed our famous signatures on a few more papers. So, really it was like one giant step forward, and an itty bitty step backwards. No worries though, they have everything they need now. Our Adoption agency knows more about us, than we thought we knew about ourselves.
